The Ozark Arts Council and The Theatre Company proudly present the comedy Noodles at the Lyric Theater.

Ned Boodle (David Stewart) is the son of Ma (Lisa Johnson) and Pa Boodle (Bill Edwards), and his efforts to introduce girlfriends to his family don't turn out very well. His family is somewhat "colorful" - his mother is a June-Cleaver type at her homiest; his father is pretty clueless; his grandpa (Clark Middleton) manages a cat (rescue) house; and his sister Lulu (Tiffany Coffman) is a hypochondriac with an equally germ-o-phobic boyfriend, Luke (Cameron Carlton).

There's also the ever-helpful Jack (Darrell Whorton), a homeless man, who resides in a cardboard appliance box in the middle of the Boodle living room; and the lively neighbor, Mrs. Doodah-Doodah (Roz Slavik).

But Ned's latest introduction of a lady friend to the family is different. Elaine (Juliana Stefanski) sees what few others see in the family Boodle. At one point, Ned was a close part of this daffy bunch, maybe even a little daffy himself at one time. But something changed him growing up. Can this new lady friend help? Can Ned help his family cross over into his world? With understated humor, the final scenes just might help you overlook your own crazed flesh and blood, and see them with a knowing smile, a kinder eye and an open heart.
