Created in 1963, H.A.L. held its first art show in the Hotel Seville. The group holds two art shows per year as well as special shows, educational programs, and visiting artist programs. Members display their work at local Banks as well. Open to all area artists, H.A.L. meets monthly at St. John's Epsicopal Church. Visit the HAL Web site.


2008 Fall Art Show
Friday, October 3, 2008, 11am-8pm

The Harrison Art League is accepting entries for the 2008 Fall Art Show, to be held in the former Bird's Nest Gallery space on the Square in Downtown Harrison (118 W. Stephenson).

Artists may enter up to three pieces in a variety of mediums. Download the prospectus for more information and the entry form.

William McNamara, a gifted local artist, will serve as judge. To view some of his breathtaking watercolors visit his Web site.

Dolores Duncan, HAL Treasurer, will register artists and collect fees on Thursday, October 2, 2008, noon until 6pm.  Entries must be picked up after the show on Sunday, October 5, between 2-4pm.
