The Ozark Arts Council and the Buffalo River Concert Association are pleased to present Eric Bibb, an internationally-known finger-picking guitarist and inspirational songwriter, will be performing in the historic Lyric Theater on Friday, November 6 at 7:30pm. Ticket prices will be $20 for general admission.

"Eric has performed a number of times at the Lyric, and it’s always a treat to see him," said Rick Hinterthuer, head of the Buffalo River Concert Association.

Bibb’s music is deeply rooted in blues, gospel, folk, and New Orleans R&B. He grew up surrounded by creative influences. Growing up in Greenwich Village with folk, musical theater singer, and father Leon Bibb, music was central to life. Also influencing Bibb was his uncle, world famous jazz pianist John Lewis, and his godfather, the legendary singer Paul Robeson.

Bibb has an international reputation. He made his big break in 1996 at the London Blues Festival. In 1997, he was named "Best Newcomer" at the British Blues Awards and has been nominated for nine W.C. Handy Blues Music Awards and a Grammy in the United States. He has played with artists like Taj Mahal, Rory Block, Maria Muldaur, Guy Davis, and Odetta to name a few. His music, like his personality, is intimate yet assured and passionate. Elwood Blues of House of Blues Radio Hour proclaims Bibb is "what the blues in the new century should be about."
